Finally Home....

Well folks, its official. I'M HOME!! well I'm back at my second home. I'm almost completely unpacked and we got two mares who are waxing meaning we are probably gonna have our new foals tonight or tomorrow :) What a great way to start off the season! I went out and visited all my babies from last year, well those who are still left here. man they are so big! and all looking really good! Larry is just as friendly ever. I sure love that guy! This place really is like a second home. I just fit right in.  I love it! I'm excited for this summer! It is gonna be so awesome!

Earlier this week I gotta take Sarai and Sergio to waterton. Holy Snow! it was even snowing when we got there!

There was enough snow there for us to make snow angels and make our very own snowman. Yep thats right his name is Fred! Even with all the snow waterton was still gorgeous. Everything was still closed so they didn't get the full waterton experience, but i told them that they needed to come back and visit during like june when we can go get icecream haha :P and go up to cameron, and go see red rock! everywhere was still closed. But we still had such a fun time. The funniest thing for me was the fact that they were in coats and gloves and freezing while i was  only wearing a hoodie and jeans and was perfectly fine.

On our way home, Sergio decided he would take a snooze. Let me just tell you...he can snore :P
When we got to Cardston we stopped in at Pizzas and Cream for some supper. They had the House pizza, with any kind and every kind of topping on it. Not gonna lie it looked amazing. I wanted some hardcore...but I can't eat it :(  So instead i just enjoyed some awesome nachos. the drive home provided some awesome awesome pictures to take :D

I love the windmills :) So there is all this talk about the Royal Wedding...and yes I am one of the ones who watched it...LIVE, meaning Megan and I made it till about 5 am...just before they left the church to go to Buckingham palace. The best part of the night...was making fun of all the ladies in hats. Victoria Beckham's was so lucky to be named the Unicorn.
We also named a dinosaur (the blue horn hat), a satellite dish, the blocker and the moose. Those are the only ones i can remember at the moment. But man Kate was absolutely STUNNING! her dress was amazing. Also i may kinda sorta have a crush on Harry. Dang that boy can pull off a uniform nicely! well i know its unrealistic, but i can dream right? haha :P  But overall the wedding was really cool! i'm glad i got to see it. although i think i shoulda not pulled that all-nighter, cause Haven woke us up at about quarter to seven, then i got to get four cavities filled at ten. that sucked horribly! I sounded like such a retard for the next four to five hours. eating was also a challenge. My friend Erin will attest to that! haha

Now I think i should go finish unpacking my stuff and go to bed, because I OFFICIALLY START WORK TOMORROW!!!! YAY!!!! :D

FuN fUn FuN fUn =D

Soo it has been such a super busy weekend! It basically started with my cousin Rochelle from California coming for the night on thursday, lets just say that was a very very late night....cough....cough...3 am....cough....cough.  On Friday afternoon Emily, Ross and Nash stopped by for a visit <3 I missed them so much and I can't believe how big Nash is now.

Later that evening it was my cousin's wedding and that was amazing! Jarom and Cassy are such a cute couple. I`m so happy she is now part of the family. Well here is how I did my hair for the reception:
The reception was one of the best I've ever been to. It was so relaxed and fun! Quite entertaining too :) After which, Amy, Devon, Sam, Garry and I came back to our house and watched 300. Is it sad that I was the only one to remain awake during the movie??  haha well the next morning I was awakened by the loud and obnoxious Devon storming into my room exclaiming I needed to get up if we wanted to be gone and riding before noon. Lets just say its lucky I actually wore a shirt instead of just a tank top to bed haha :P

So Amy and I packed our cars and drove to the church where we were supposed to simply pick up Rochelle and leave. Well that turned into me getting roped into cooking pancakes for the family pancake breakfast. haha a hour and a half later we were on our way! So once we got there we met up with Sam who took her own car as well. Once we got the horses in, it was decided that Sam would ride Bess, Rochelle was on Root, Amy was on Buster and I rode Brandie (who I'd never ridden before).

Tracy decided he would try out their new horse Betty Boop (She is extremely short...I don't really like her) and when we were out riding we definitely found out she is scared of the rope. haha It turned out that in order to tag a calf, Tracy would have to get off his horse, give her to Sam to hold, rope the calf, give the rope to Rochelle to hold, then Amy and I would use our horses as body guards for tracy to protect him from the mothers. There was this one cow who was a real bag. She ended up charging me and head ramming my horse as we tried to get away. When she charged Brandie FREAKED! I just about fell off cause my feet came out of the stirrups but held on. For the next couple of hours of riding Brandie was a little jumpy. Can you blame her??

Anyways we rode for almost four hours and I loved every minute of it!! Since it has been almost a year from the last time I went riding, you all can guess what happened. Yep, that's right...I am SOOO stinkin saddle sore. I hardly could move Sunday. The hard benches at the church and chairs at the dinner table and I were not friends for a few days. Now its all good. To make things better the weather was sooo nice I got a little burn, meaning I got a little TAN! WOOT WOOT I'm just starting off for how dark I'm gonna get this summer :)

Well after riding, I got to go over to work to see all my babies! There aren't to many of them left who haven't been sold. Larry is doing so good :) He looks amazing.

I was so happy to see him again. He still is the friendliest boy I remember and since he has been on a special diet his back is doing much better. I wish I could afford to buy him and train him myself. He would be so easy to work with and probably wouldn't give me much trouble either. Oh well, I can dream can't I???

So anyways, I absolutely love spending easter weekend at my Aunt Connie's and Uncle Tracy's place. They always ensure that the easter bunny knows exactly where we are staying haha. This year my basket was hidden on the back of the TV. They are the best! After our easter basket hunt, we went to church and after Alina and I drove to Cardston to have Easter Dinner with my Dad. It was a really good visit! Wish they didn't live so far away. After spending sunday night in Raymond I got to wake up bright and early for a dentist appointment at 8 am...BLARGH! turns out since my mom's benefits are running out and I am moving to work this weekend I get to have my cavities fixed friday morning......since they are on each side of my face it ALL gets to get frozen. I've learned a lesson, me and Novocaine = drooling numb retard face. YAY  Truthfully, I hate the dentist. I just feel awkward in sitting in that chair under the weird lights and having some stranger stick his hands in my mouth.

Once I finished that, I went back to my mom's house where I studied for a bit then went to the University and wrote my Meso final...yah that didn't go over so well... At least its done and all I have left to write is Neuro. I'll write test one tomorrow and see how it goes. which means i should probably study right now instead of writing this :( oh well. I'll try and write something tomorrow.

Missing Things...

So I've just been thinking of things that I've missed this semester today and trying to figure a way to change that come fall. Now for the things I missed:
1. My Piano: I really do miss playing the piano. I even bought new piano books to play, but I have no
piano. I did have a keyboard but it didn't really count since I couldn't play half of my songs as the keyboard didn't have a wide enough range. Piano is my relaxer and de-stresser. I just play it when I need to feel better and everything doesn't seem so hard. Its amazing what music can do to a person.

2. My Family: So if you can't tell...I miss my nephew...alot, but I also really missed my Mom and my sisters. Its weird not being able to see them all the time any more. Even though my mom doesn't live that far away both her and I have no time to spend with each other. So that means I never see Alina either. Now with Emily...WHY DOES SHE LIVE SO FAR AWAY?? Like seriously. I'm missing most of my nephew's life. Apparantly he is now walking and talking. I MISS HIM! <3 So its official...Emily need to move here. End of story.

 3. Old friends: There are people from my past who I miss alot. Especially some people from highschool. Those were some good times :) The only thing from highschool I miss is the people, maybe the easy work load haha University kills you!!! The academic and career advisers lie...they lie I tell you!!!!

4. The freedoms of no responsibility. Not having to worry about a job, finances, living situations, tests, or anything really. Those were the days. Now I move in 9 days and I still don't have anyone to live in my room...kinda freakin out...seriously. Don't...know....what....to....doo..... Help please??

Well those are the four things I miss the most right now and what am I going to do about it? FIX IT! I'm gonna have to not take 6 classes and work 2 jobs...so only 5 classes and 1 job. I am determined to go spend more time up north. With what money...I don't know. As for friends, I hope to have more lunch dates and parties in which people can come :) For the responsibility part...I"m just gonna suck it up and deal with it :)

As for now.. my cousin Rochelle is visiting and Emily, Ross and Nash are bringing me PIZZA for lunch <3

Oh The Brilliance Of Me.....

So now I have solid proof of my brilliance. Last night I went over to my friend Jessie's house for supper, lets just say amaaaazing food. Not gonna lie best meal all week. As we were eating we were discussing our reading categories and decided on a trip to Chapter (not that I would spend anything as I am broke). So after dinner off we went on our adventure, once we reached the parking lot and I got out of her car, my true skill decided to shine through... Since its been a very long time since I've hurt myself in some act of sheer stupidness or clumsiness, my subconscious decided it was a good idea to smash my finger in the door when I still needed to type out four pages of my research paper, which was due in about 13 hours....brilliant. See photos below:
This was just a couple of hours after it happened.

This is what it looked like this morning.

Me being a smart one you see decided it would be a good thing to stop in at the health center and see the doctor at around 1 this afternoon. The result of that is seen to the left. Since my finger had been pulse throbbing for about 15 hrs, the pressure was really bad under the fingernail. So the doctor used a cauterizing tool to burn through my fingernail and release the blood and by golly it worked!! It still hurts like the dickens, but its not as bad as it was before. Is it a bad thing that it still is bleeding?

Sooo anywho. I just got back from an awesome dinner and movie with Jessie...different Jessie then yesterday haha. Just saw the movie Hanna, it was pretty decent! I liked it...although I kinda guessed the ending I still thought it was a good movie! Once again I'm procrastinating studying for my Meso final which I'm gonna try and write on friday, if not I will write it on monday. I wish life would just slow down for one day. I would just like to try and catch up on everything and be able to just relax, but does life allow...NO. gosh darn it all. Life is just to crazy. Any suggestions on slowing it down at all??

CAN'T WAIT!!!

SOOO EXCITED!! Work cannot come fast enough for me! Here is a picture of the most recent foal born at work. He is a son of Hezgottabefamous x La Jollas Avenger and is about 13 hours old in this picture. I'm so stinking stoked to go to work and see all my new babies. Work is the one place where I can actually find peace. I don't feel the stress of life here in Lethbridge and I can finally be myself and not really worry about anything, except work which comes naturally for me.

Well plans for today, other than pining over myself wanting to be at work, include finishing my essay, studying for my final tomorrow morning and going to the gym with Jessie and her making me supper! Lets just say, I'm a little excited not to be cooking!! YAY!!! I've also come to the realization that when attempting to study or write an essay, watching Atlantis in the background is a poor study choice. Needless to say my progress regarding my essay is diminishing haha.

Annnd my cousin is getting married this weekend, meaning all my family from far away is coming! WOOT WOOT! Gotta love family reunions, actually I'm super excited because we are kidnapping my cousin from California for a slumber party at my house. Then hopefully going riding up in Bassano the next day, meaning I will get to go visit work for a little bit, don't worry I'll take lots and lots of pictures. I can only imagine how big Larry is now. Oh for those of you who don't know who Larry is here is a picture from around Christmas.
When Larry was about two days old, he was suffering from severe dehydration and had to be put upon an IV for a few days, although he was till pretty small he pulled through nicely. Ever since then he became the friendliest little colt and a favorite for all of us girls that summer. Anytime we were out in the field or feeding, he would just come up to us basically begging for us to pet him and pay attention to him. Halter breaking him wasn't as issue, he would just follow us wherever we would go and he didn't even freak out from the halter being placed on him. He still is my favorite and now he is going to be super big as he is almost a yearling. Lets just say, if I could afford it I would buy him and train him myself. :)

Well Atlantis is over, meaning I actually need to work now. Haha.

The Beginning....

So... I doubt there will be many people reading this but I just figured I'd rather do things on here than on Facebook, so if someone doesn't care to know what I'm up to they don't have to come read this. The main reason for this blog comes from one of my EFY counselors (Laura you know who you are =D) who has inspired me to write things about my life, whether they are boring or not. Hopefully as I'm away this summer, I'll be able to use this blog to keep people updated on my happenings at work and my future hopes and dreams.

As for now, life is crazy. School and I have a mutual relationship, I hate it and it hates me. Four finals and a essay left to go before the oh so glorious feeling of freedom and I can become better acquainted before I move up to work. People maybe wondering what I'm doing for work and where I'm going. Well let me tell you. I'm a Equine Fertility Facilitator Engineer (EFFE) working at Sandy Ridge Stallion Station (http://www.sandyridge.ab.ca/)  in Bassano AB, for those of you who don't know where that is google maps can be found here : http://maps.google.ca/. Now as for the responsibilities associated with my job they range from maintenance to breeding to training of foals and yearlings. Truth be told, it grosses lots of people out but I absolutely love my job.

Today my roommate showed me the most AMAZING band ever entitled "He is We". One of my favorite songs is All About Us.
I also love Breathe, And Run, and Prove You Wrong. Basically any song by them is amazing. They are my current favorite band. Anyways I'm hardcore procrastinating writing my oh so intriguing 8 page research paper on the Orogenesis and Geologic formation of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Blah.... Hi Ho Hi Ho, its off to work I go.
